Congratulations to the 16 trainees who have just completed an intense weekend of training.
Over 40 people expressed an interest in joining the team. The majority were then invited along to an informal ‘meet and greet’ with some of our current team members, where they also had the opportunity to see some of the team vehicles and equipment we use.
Our top applicants were then invited to take part in a two day Basic Selection Training, where they learnt about navigation, radio comms, and search techniques.
Now comes the difficult part, as they spend the next 3-4 months as trainee search technicians proving to our team assessors that they have got what it takes to join the team.
