This last weekend, 10 team members provided first aid cover at Thrapston Charter Fair.
The day started off the right way with Gareth providing the team with bacon rolls, before heading off to Thrapston High Street. This annual event marks the granting of market status for Thrapston in 1205. Over 2,000 visitors attended this years event, enjoying the stalls, displays, live music and funfair rides.
As always, one of the most popular attractions was our own Search Dog Spike and his handler Chris.
With the warm weather for this years fair, our Vice Chair Ian was providing much appreciated refreshment with his locally made Goat Milk Ice Cream from his own Ganders Goat farm.
In terms of first aid, the only incident the team had to deal with was a painful wasp sting. Otherwise the team were busy engaging with the public and discussing the service NSAR provides to the local community (when they weren't eating all of the ice cream of course).
