4th/5th/6th Aug ***NSAR MUTUAL AID*** ASSIST LECSAR, High risk missing Male Rutland, Manton Area.

The team were called to assist LECSAR (Leicestershire Search and Rescue) on 4th Aug after a high risk missing male was notified to Police. The team deployed a number of searchers, and subsequently our Incident Control Unit, to the area. Working with Police from Leicester and Northampton, and 7 other Lowland Rescue teams, the search continued for 3 days, where upon the third day at approximately 16:45pm he was located, by members of NSAR & StaffSAR in a rape seed field. He was in a poorly condition, and first aid was administered. Teams supported EMAS in a carryout. Further details can be read here.

2nd / 3rd Aug ****NSAR MUTUAL AID**** ASSIST OXSAR. Noke Village area

The team were called to assist OXSAR (Oxfordshire Search & Rescue), with a search for a high risk female in the NOKE area to the north of Oxford. The team deployed a number of members to assist, and over the course of 2 days searched a large area. The search was stood down when the missing female was located safe and well by police outside of the given search area.

26th July ****NSAR MUTUAL AID**** Assist Midshires. High risk Misper RVP 0700 Box End Park

The team were called to assist MSAR (Midshires search & Rescue), after a missing teenager was reported. He had been attending a Wakeboarding festival, and had gone missing in the early hours of the morning. Given the proximity to water and other factors team deployment was initiated, by Bedfordshire police. The team sent several members to assist, and searched for approximately 2 hours before the missing person was located safe, after presenting themselves to a local resident.

21st July ****NSAR STANDBY**** Assist Midshires in Leighton Buzzard.

Team placed on standby, but not deployed, and missing person was located by Police

20th July ****NSAR MUTUAL AID**** Midshires search for 52y/o male with learning difficulties.

The team were called to assist MSAR (Midshires search & Rescue), a number of members attended and supported the search. The missing person was located safe and well outside the search area.

22nd May ****NSAR MUTUAL AID**** Availability for Midshires assist

A call was received to assist Midshires Search & Rescue, with a search in Hertfordshire, in the WestHampstead area, for a missing male with dementia.  The search again started as a single day, but protracted to 4 days, again deploying a number of Lowland Rescue Assets.  Including Foot, Bike, Dog, Bank, and water teams.  The search continues, and the police investigation continues.

20th May ****NSAR CALLOUT**** Assist Northamptonshire Police

A call was received to assist Northamptonshire Police with a search Sixfields area of Northampton, the call being received at approximately 16:30.  The missing male had been spotted in the area earlier, and the On Duty PolSA had requested the teams assistance.  We the first members arrived onsite approximately 30 mins later, they found some police onsite and a fire rescue boat being deployed into one of the lakes.  The Teams search manager took over and formed plans to rapidly search the immediate area, and then deployed a foot team around a perimeter path of one lake, and a Bank search team around another Lake to the north.  Within an hour there were 20 members on site searching for the individual.  At approximately 19.00  the Missing person was located by the bank team at the waters edge, alive, but confused.  A team medic assessed them, and a medic team was rapidly dispatched to assist.  The Police Sgt informed, and after some primary care the Missing person was handed over the Police who transported them to Hospital.  The team then conducted a rapid search of the area to locate the missing persons belongings at the police request.  Many thank to all members involved.

12th May ****NSAR Mutual Aid**** Assist Midshires Search & Rescue

A call was received to assist Midshires Search & Rescue, with a search in Hertfordshire.  the Search was for a missing man, and began as a single day, But turned into a protracted 6 day search which involved assets from several Lowland Rescue teams.  The search involving, Foot teams, Bank and Water search teams, Boat assets, Side scanning Sonar from Northern Ireland, and search dogs from a number of teams.  At times there were 60+ volunteer search and rescue members present.  At this time the police investigation is ongoing.  thank you to the members who gave up this significant amount of time.

 

7/5/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE POLICE **** TRAINING EXERCISE

A call was received to assist Northamptonshire Police with a search in the Kettering area, for a joint exercise with the Polices new TST team.  The exercise was testing and examining both the volunteers and new police teams skills.  The exercise was searching for a missing person.  The team deployed approximately 10 members, with around 14 police present.  For more information read here on the Police website.  Thanks to all involved.  https://www.northants.police.uk/#!/News/25858

30/4/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST OXSAR **** Missing Person

A call was received to assist Oxfordshire Search & Rescue with a search of the Hatfield area, after a High risk missing female was reported to the police.  The call was received at 11.15am. At this time we have no further information.

29/4/15 – 30/4/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE POLICE **** Missing Person

A call was received to assist Northamptonshire Police with a search in the Cransley area, after a 84yo Male with known medical conditions was reported missing to the police.  The call was received at approximately 7pm. At the time a number of Team members were available and began heading to the RVP.  Members worked along side members of the police and Midshires search and rescue.  Priority searches of routes and paths were made and searches of wooded areas.  At the time airport was inlace from NPAS HusBos.  The team continued searching till approximately 1.30 am, when they were stood down for the night.  At 6am the following morning the request was received to continue searches assisting the police.  At 9.00 am information was received that the missing male had been located in a field,  three team members were transported by the police to the casualties location, where they conducted a medical assessment, and gave care while the EMAS ambulance arrived.  At 10.00 am the team were stood down.  Thanks to all involved.

23/4/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST MIDSHIRES **** Missing Person

A call was received to assist Midshires Search & Rescue with a search of the Hatfield area, after a High risk missing female was reported to the police.  The call was received at 9.51am. At the time 4 Team members were available and began heading to the RVP.  Members worked along side members of Hertfordshire police and began searches of wooded areas.  At 13.43 the team were stood down after receiving further information.  Thanks to all involved.

18/4/15 **** STANDBY ASSIST MIDSHIRES **** Missing Person

A call was received to place the team on standby ready assist Midshires Search & Rescue with a search of the Milton Keynes, Oldwood area, after a High risk missing person was reported to the police.  The call was received at 10.50am.   The team prepared its members ready for a potential deployment, however some 2 hours later the team was stood down after further information was received from the police.  Thanks to all involved.

16/4/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST MIDSHIRES **** Missing Person

A call was received to assist Midshires Search & Rescue with a search of the St Albans area, after a High risk missing person was reported to the police.  The call was received at 7.17am. Team members worked along side members of Hertfordshire police and performed extensive searches of wooded areas.  At this time the investigation is still ongoing.  thanks to all involved.

24/3/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST MIDSHIRES **** Missing Person

A call was recieved to assist Midshires Search & Rescue with a search of the Ashton Area of Stevenage, after a High risk missing male was reporter to the police.  The call was received at 13.44 and team members deployed to assist Midshires.  Team members worked along side members of Hertfordshire police and performed extensive searches of wooded areas.  At approximately 18.00 the team was stood down on the instruction of the Police and the Missing Person presented themselves to the Police.  Thanks to all those teams involved.

20/3/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST MIDSHIRES **** Missing Person

A call was recieved to assist Midshires Search & Rescue with a search of a parkland and lake in Milton Keynes, after reports of a potentially distressed individual running through the area,  the call being received around 7.19 am.  At the time a number members were available and began deploying, additional resources were called from other Search teams.  The search area, covered a number of terrain types, fields, woods, and lakes.  At approximately 11.30am the team were stood down on the instruction of the police.   Thanks to all those teams involved.

7/3/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE POLICE **** Missing Person

A call was recieved to assist Northamptonshire police with a search for a high risk Missing  female, with a search in Woodford area of Northamptonshire,  the call being received around 8.22 am.  At the time a number members were available and began deploying, additional resources were called from Midshires, Leicestershire, Buckinghamshire, and Cambridgeshire.  The search area, covered a number of terrain types, fields, woods, and rivers.  Resources arrived and teams began to deploy.  At approximately 10.30am the team were stood down on the instruction of the police after further information was received.   Thanks to all those teams involved.

23/2/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST MIDSHIRES **** Missing Person

A call was recieved to assist Midshires Search & Rescue (MSAR) search for a Missing 78yr old Male, with a search in Bedford town area,  the call being received around 8pm.  At the time several team members were available and began deploying.  At approximately 9.15pm the team was asked to stand down after the Missing male was located safe and well.  Midshires and the Police thank all those involved.

9/2/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST OXSAR **** Missing Person

A call was recieved to assist Oxfordshire Search & Rescue (OXSAR) search for a Missing 10yr old, with a search in Kidlington area,  the call being received around 10am.  At the time 4 team members were available and began deploying, along with teams from Buckinghamshire, Midshires, and Berkshire, swell as two dog teams.  At approximately 2pm the team was asked to stand down after the Missing child was located safe and well.  OXSAR and Thames Valley Police thank all those involved.

7/2/15  until 8/2/15  **** CALL OUT ASSIST LECSAR **** Missing Person – 2 day search

A call was recieved to assist Leicestershire Search & Rescue, search for a Missing vulnerable 41 yr old Male, with a search in Groby area of Leicestershire,  the call being received around 10am on the Saturday.  At the time 8 team members were available and deployed.  At approximately 5pm the team was asked to stand down for the night, after covering a large area of woodland.  The team reformed at 11 am the next day, and begun searching again.  At approximately 7pm The police confirmed the discovery of a Body, pending formal identification, but is believed to be that of the missing person.  The teams thoughts and prayers go to the family at this time.  Thank you to all involved in the search.

20/1/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Northamptonshire police **** Missing Person

A call was recieved to assist Northamptonshire Police search for a Missing vulnerable young person, with a search in Milton Cheney area,  the call being received around 2pm.  At the time several team members were available and began deploying.  at approximately 4pm the team was asked to stand down pending further police investigations.  At that time Police investigations were ongoing.  No additional information is available at this time.

17/1/15 until 22/1/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Midshires SAR **** Missing Person  – 5 Day Search

A call was recieved to assist Midshires, with a search in Keysoe Area of North Bedfordshire,  the call being received around 9am on Saturday.  At the time several team members were available and deployed.  A significant number of members from Northants and other search teams, covered several miles of farmland and village area.  Searches were conducted until approximately 5.30pm.  At that time Police investigations were ongoing, however the team was asked to return on the following 4 days.  Volunteers arrived and search in continuing cold and hard conditions for covering an estimated 600 miles of foot walking between them.  Upon the end of the 5 day the police asked the teams to stand down fully.   No additional information is available at that time, however the Missing person has subsequently been located well and safe, some significant distance outside of the search area.  Thanks to all who spent the night in the cold and rain searching.

6/1/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Midshires SAR **** Missing Person

A call was recieved to assist Midshires, with a search in Milton Keynes,  the call being received around midnight.  At the time several team members were available and deployed.  Searches were conducted until approximately 4.30am, when the searches were concluded.  At that time Police investigations were ongoing.  No additional information is available at this time. 2/1/15 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Oxfordshire SAR **** Missing Person

A call was recieved to assist OXSAR, with a search in Whitney area of Oxfordshire.  At the time several team members were available and deployed.  Upon arrival, was stood down immediately.  no additional information is available at this time.

1/1/15 **** CALL OUT  ASSIST Northamptonshire Police  **** Missing Person

At approximately 8am, a call was received to conduct a search of the gratin village and surrounding area with Northamptonshire Police.  Assistance was requested from Leicestershire & Midshires search and rescue.  The team met up at 9.30am for a briefing before deploying to a number of search sectors.  I total 22 members searched for 8 hours before standing down due to failing light.  During the search the teams covered the entire village and several miles of path ways around the village, in cold and rain.  Shortly after standing down Missing person was located outside of the search area.  Unfortunately for the Team a vehicle suffered a mechanical failure during the search and is now out of commission awaiting repair.  Donations to the repairs can be made on the donations page.  Thanks to all members involved.

20/12/14 **** CALL OUT  No. 2 ASSIST Midshires Search and Rescue **** Missing Person

At approximately 8pm, a call was received to assist Midshires search and rescue and Buckinghamshire Search and rescue with a two missing persons in the Milton Keynes area.  The team deployed 8 members to the location.  whilst on route one Misper was located.  after a briefing and information share with Thames Valley Police the teams were deployed to search sectors.  Through searches were conducted and the teams concluded and stood down at approximately 1 am.  TVP are conducting further enquires.  Thanks to all members involved.

20/12/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Northants Police **** Missing Person

At approximately 11am, a call was received to assist Northamptonshire Police with a search for a missing person in the Kettering area.  The MIsper was an elderly male with mild dementia, and other medical conditions.  The Team RVP’d at the given location at approximately 12 noon.  Almost immediately that the initial team and incident command unit were on its, the Police notified the team that the mister had been located safe and well.  Thanks to all members involved.

29/11/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Northants Police **** Missing Person

Whilst the Team were filming a TV Interview for ITV Anglia, a call was received from Northants Police PolSA requesting assistance with a search in the Daventry Area.  The Team RVP’d at the given location at approximately 1pm.  A briefing was received from the onsite PolSA, and search sectors received.  In total 8 members were onsite and additional resources arriving later from Midshires & Warwick Shire Search & Rescue.   Initial search sectors were tasked pooling resources from the SAR teams and Police.  At approximately 13.30 Our search manager and planner arrived, and began working with the onsite PolSA, to form new search areas and strategies with fading light approaching.  Just as the team was about to be stood down, the Police received information the Misper had been found.  The team were stood down, and thanked for their assistance.  Thanks to all members and teams involved.

8/11/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Northants Police **** Missing Person

At approximately 11am, a call was received to assist Northamptonshire Police with a search for a missing person.  The Team RVP’d at the given location at approximately 12 noon.  A briefing was received from the onsite PolSA, and search sectors received.  In total 8 members were onsite and additional resources coming from Midshires, LeicestershireSAR and CamSAR.  Just as the first team was to deploy, additional information was received from the PolSA and the teams stood down.  Thanks to all members involved.

1/11/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Mutual Aid BuckSAR **** Missing Person

In the early hours of Saturday 1st November at approximately 5am a call was received to assist Buckinghamshire Search and Rescue with a search for a female missing person. The RVP in the Central Milton Keynes area. The team deployed 9 members including search planners and operations managers.  Supported by Midshires Search and Rescue plans were made and with the support from other teams, members deployed.  Following initial searches teams were redeployed and through good communication skills extra information was collected and passed onto the Police.  This led to a rapid redeployment to a new location, where upon the Missing person was located and the police took over.  The teams were stood down and strong thanks were received from the Police.  The team expresses thanks to all involved

Almost immediately after the stand own from the previous search, a call was received to assist Midshires with a search for a female missing person with a planned RVP in the Biggleswade area, near the A1. The team prepared to deploy and formed search plans, with a number of members available immediately.  A search ensued for a short time.  The teams were stood down after the Missing person was found safe and well by Police.  The team expresses thanks to all involved

A call was recieved to assist Midshire SAR, with a search in Cheshunt area of London.  At the time one team member was available and deployed.  Upon arrival, was stood down immidiately, with the search being delayed for a day.  no additionalinformation is available at this time.

6/10/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Warwickshire SAR **** Missing Person

A call was received to assist Warwickshire Search and Rescue with a search for a missing Male person with a planned RVP in the Ryton on Dunsmore area. The team prepared to deploy and formed search plans, with a number of members available immediately and a further coming later.  additional resources were requested from neighbouring Lowland Rescue teams, including Midshires, Oxford, Buckinghamshire, Bucks Dogs, Staffs, WMSAR, LeicSAR.  A total of 45 Volunteer members attended..  At approximately 1.30 am the team were stood down at the request of the Police.  The team expresses thanks to all involved

In the afternoon  a call was received to assist CAMSAR with a search for a female missing person with a planned RVP in the Doddington area. At 7.30am a call was received to assist Northamptonshire Police with a search for a teenage female missing person with a planned RVP in the Wootton area. The team prepared to deploy and formed search plans, with 6 members available immediately and a further coming later.  additional resources were requested from neighbouring Lowland Rescue teams, including Midshires.  At approximately 8.45 am the team were stood down just before deploying teams, after new information was received from police that the misper had been located, safe and well.  The team expresses thanks to all involved

At approximately 5pm a call was received to assist Midshires with a search in the Rickmansworth area.  team members deployed to the area, but were stood down at 7.30pm.  Police are continuing enquiries.

9/9/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Midshires Search & Rescue **** Missing Person

At 7.30pm a call was received to assist Midshires Search & Rescue with a search for a missing person with a planned RVP in the MiltonKeynes area. The team dispatched 7 members.  Additional resources came from neighbouring Lowland Rescue teams, including Midshires, Buckinghamshire and Search Dogs.  At approximately 1.30am, the team was stood down, after completed searches. with instructions follow on in the morning

The team reformed in the morning and continued to search the areas of Milton Keynes, before finally being stood down at 3pm.  The team returned to RVP, debriefed and stood down.  Thanks were received from Thames Valley Police, and expressed to all.  Thanks to those involved.

2/9/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Northamptonshire Police **** Missing Person

At 9.30am a call was received to assist Northamptonshire Police with a search for a missing person with a planned RVP at 11am in the Weston Favell area. The team prepared to deploy and formed search plans, with 6 members available immediately and a further 4 coming later.  additional resources were requested from neighbouring Lowland Rescue teams, including Midshires, Cambridgeshire, and Leicestershire.  At approximately 1pm, the team moved search locations to Northampton Racecourse, and deployed a Hasty vehicle based search team.  At approximately 13.30 this team located the Misper.  They were assessed by the medic, and police assistance requested.  The police arrived within 10 mins, and took control of the misper.  The team returned to RVP, debriefed and stood down.  Thanks were received from Northants Police, and are expressed to all.  Thanks to those involved.

20/8/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Northamptonshire Police **** Missing Person

At approximately 15.30pm a call was received to assist Northamptonshire Police with a search for a missing person with a planned RVP in the Moulton area.  The team prepared to deploy, but following on from new information to the Police the Location was moved to the centre of Northampton.  The team deployed approximately 8 members initially, with more on route.  Midshire search and rescue were called into assist, and deployed members to the area.  The teams were dispatched across the town centre with the task of interacting with as many members of the public as possible searching for the misper.  Approximately 45 mins after search started it was concluded after the successful location of the missing person, who was found safe.   Specific thanks were received from the Police for quick response and interactions.  Thanks from Northants to all those involved.

14/8/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Northamptonshire Police **** Missing Person

At 12.30pm a call was received to assist Northamptonshire Police with a search for a missing person with a planned RVP at 2.30pm in the Grendon area.  the team prepared to deploy and formed search plans, with 6 members available immediately and a further 4 coming later.  additional resources were requested from neighbouring Lowland Rescue teams.  At 2pm a request was received to stand down following additional information by the Police.  Later in the day the MISPER was located by officers in a separate part of the county.  Thanks to those involved.

7/8/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST BucksSAR **** Missing Person

A request was received for Mutual aid from Buckinghamshire Search & Rescue in the Chesham area for a high risk MISPER at around 2pm. The team was able to deploy 2 members during the work day to assist with more available later.  the search was concluded around 6 pm with no additional members being requested.  The search involved several Lowland rescue teams.  Police are continuing there enquiries.  Thanks to all those involved in the search.

4/8/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Northamptonshire Police **** Missing Person

A request was received for a search of Abington Park area of Northampton by the Northamptonshire Police, in the search for a Missing Person.  the Team RVP was established and Mutual aid from Midshires and Cambridgeshire Search & Rescue was sent.  Approximately 14 members were dispatched in search teams.  the search was concluded after around 2 hours after further information was received from the Police search Controllers.  The team thanks all the members and other teams who supported.

31/7/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Midshires **** Missing Person

A call was received at Noon for a missing person in the Bedford area, and to provide mutual aid to Midshires Search & Rescue.  NorthantsSAR deployed a number of team members, who joined up with other Lowland Search teams.  Teams were deployed in number of areas including bank search teams who searched along the river.   After a period of time additional information was received that the MISPER had presented themselves to hospital and were safe.  the teams were recalled to the RVP and stood Down.  thanks were received from Midshires for the assistance.  Thanks to all those involved in the search.

18/7/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Midshires **** Missing Person

A call was received at 9am for a missing person in the Olney area, and to provide mutual aid to Midshires Search & Rescue.  NorthantsSAR deployed 5 persons, who joined up with other Lowland Search teams from LeicSAR, BuckSAR, BuckSAR Dogs, & CamSAR, to deploy over 25 search members.  Initially 3 teams were deployed and then 2 more, followed by a K9 team.  Search teams covered a large area to the west of Olney, working through the heat of the day.  At approximately 13.40 Team 1 identified a person matching the description of the MISPER, approached and confirmed ID and condition.  The MISPER was assessed, and police air support guided in Ground support to the teams location. The MISPER was recovered by Police and the teams returned to RVP and Stood down.  Thanks to all those involved in the search.

22/6/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST Northamptonshire Police *****  Missing Person

A call was received From Northamptonshire Police at approximately 2pm for a search for a missing person in the Nether Heyford area of Northamptonshire. NorthantsSAR deployed a team of 12 people, and requested Mutual aid from Midshires Search and Rescue team who deployed a further 12 people, and Warwickshire Search & Rescue who sent further team members and resources.  The RVP was established at 3pm, and search sector and teams planned.  The first teams began deploying from 3.15pm.  Bank searches were made along the canal and water ways, and foot teams were deployed in other areas.  The search was joined by NPAS (Police Air Support) at approixmately 4.30pm.  The Police received further information of a sighting of the missing person around 5pm, and a Bank Search team was deployed to the location.  Upon arrival it was found the Police foot team had located the Missing person.  The Bank teams assisted in a logistical role providing water safety support.  At Approximately 6.15pm the teams were stood down with the Missing person being located.   Thanks to Midshires & Warwickshire for their support in this operation.

13/6/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST MidshireSAR ***** MUTUAL AID

 Call was received at 06.15hrs to provide mutual aid to MidShires for a search for a missing man in the Stevenage area. NSAR prepared to deployed a team, but the team were stood down at 06.45 due to the misper being located.

5/6/14 **** CALL OUT PRE PLANNED ASSITANCE TO NORTHANTS POLICE****

The team were contacted approximately a week earlier with a request from Northamptonshire police to provide a logistical support element to an ongoing search operation.  At 9am the team deployed a number of members including bank search specialists to the Northampton area.  Logistical support was provided, with assitance from Midshires Search and Rescue, and a small search conducted. at approximately 12.30pm the search concluded.  The matter is still ongoing with Northamptonshire police.  NorthanstSAR thanks Midshires and SpeedyHire for the support provided.

A Call was received at 1030am on the 31st May requesting the support of NorthantsSARs search planners.  NorthantsSAR deployed 2 x planners to the Milton Keynes Area, where a briefing was received reporting a missing elderly female.  Subsequently a call was placed for search team members to attend.  Plans were made and a number of teams deployed.  In excess of 40 volunteer members, and included bank search specialist who undertook lakeside searches.  At approximately 10.30pm the search was stood down due to failing light.
At 9am the following morning, 1st June, a new RVP was established and the teams reformed, and begun searches of new sectors.  Searching was tough and over steep terrain in a high heat level, but the members carried on.  At approximately 11am, following new information from the Police the search was stood down.

18/05/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST MidshireSAR ***** MUTUAL AID

Call was received at 2200hrs to provide mutual aid to MidShires for a search for a missing man in the Gravenhurst, Beds area. NSAR deployed a team of 5 but the team were stood down at 2230 due to the misper being located.

17/05/14 **** CALL OUT CONTINUED ASSIST BucksSAR**** MUTUAL AID

Team was requested to return and assist with searches.  NorthantsSAR deployed 3 members to the area.  It was a search for a high risk MISPER. NSAR assisted other Lowland Teams from Midshires, OxSAR, BuckSAR and Bucks Search Dogs in the area requested.

16/05/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST BucksSAR**** MUTUAL AID

Team were placed on stand by at about 7am then called out at about 745am to assist Midshires who was assisting BucksSAR. NorthantsSAR deployed a team of 7 members to the area.  It was a search for a high risk MISPER. NSAR assisted other Lowland Teams from Midshires, OxSAR, BuckSAR and Bucks Search Dogs in the area requested.

Members arrived on scene from 10am onwards and the last NSAR members left at about 715pm.
The search was scaled down pending further lines of enquiries.

12/05/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST LeicSAR**** MUTUAL AID

Call was received at 7pm for NorthantsSAR to go on stand by to assist LeicSar with a high risk missing person, Leicestershire.  Team was initially placed on stand by, then were fully called out at about 830pm.  NorthantsSAR deployed 11 members, who travelled to the agreed RVP in Leicestershire, and were deployed out into the local area to search fields and woodland.

The last NSAR team left the scene at about 2am the following morning.  The search was concluded  by the police and they were going to reassess the situation the following morning.

26/04/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST CAMSAR**** MUTUAL AID

A Request at 10.15pm was received for mutual aid from Cambridgeshire Search and rescue team, for a Female Misper search close to Cambridge. NSAR deployed a team of  7 searchers to aid CAMSAR and offer support, along with teams from Midshires, YALSAR.  The teams deployed to search sectors around 11.45pm, and began searching.  After approximately 1.5 hours of searching, a request to return to RVP was made by Control, and teams stood down. Result is currently ongoing. UPDATE: MISPER returned home later in the week.

16/04/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST CAMSAR**** MUTUAL AID

A Request at 4.15pm was received for mutual aid from Cambridgeshire Search and rescue team, for a search in their search control area. NSAR deployed a team of searchers to aid CAMSAR and offer support, along with teams from Midshires, LECSAR, YALSAR.  The teams deployed and conducted a searches in a number of sectors.  After approximately 3 hours of searching, a request to return to RVP was made by Control, and teams stood down. Result is currently ongoing.

13/03/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST MSAR**** MUTUAL AID

A Request at 7.30am was received for mutual aid from Midshire Search and rescue team, for a search in the Borehamwood area. NSAR deployed a number of searchers to aid Midshires and offer support, along with teams from Essex SAR and Bucks Dogs teams.  The teams deployed and conducted a search. Result is currently ongoing.

15/02/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST MSAR**** MUTUAL AID

A Request at 9.30pm was received for mutual aid from Midshire Search and rescue team, for a pre planned search in the Rickmansworth area. NSAR prepared to deploy a 7 man team to aid Midshires and offer support however at approximately 1am the following morning, the request to stand down was received from Midshires.

30/01/14 **** CALL OUT ASSIST MSAR**** MUTUAL AID

A Request was received for mutual aid from Midshire Search and rescue team, for a pre planned search in the Leighton Buzzard area. NSAR Deployed a team member to aid Midshires and offer bank support to the Beds Police Divers.  Search finished about 130pm.

25/01/2014 **** CALL OUT ASSIST MSAR**** MUTUAL AID

A Request was received for mutual aid from Midshire Search and rescue team, for a search in the Stevenage area. NSAR Deployed 5 people to the RVP.  The Misper was a 78yr male.  During the search one of our teams received intel from a member of the public, which was passed onto the Police, Simultaneously a call was received by the Police from the ambulance service reporting the misper as located safe outside of the Search sectors.  The Search teams were subsequently stood down, and thanked by the police.

23/1/2013 ****CALL OUT ASSIST MSAR**** MUTUAL AID

A Small team of bank trained members went to assist Midshire SAR team with a pre planned search and safety support role.  the team remained in support from approximately 9am until 5pm, where upon the search was stood down.

3/1/2013 ****CALL OUT ASSIST MSAR**** MUTUAL AID

At 8.30am a call was received from Midshires SAR team requesting mutual aid, a call was placed to all team members.  Team began preparations to send support, but at 9.10am a second call was received to stand down as the MISPER had been located already.  Team stood down.

31/12/2013 ****CALL OUT ASSIST LEICSAR**** MUTUAL AID

At 12.15pm a call was made from LEICSAR to assist with a search in the Great Barr area of Birmingham.  An 8 person team deployed to to the incident along with teams from Staffordshire SAR.  NSAR Teams mustered at the incident command vehicle, and were briefed on the search for a missing 73yr old female and a sector assigned.  Just before our teams were to be deployed new information came in from the Police teams already on the ground, and the search teams stood down.

27/12/2013. ****CALL OUT ASSIST MSAR **** MUTUAL AID

Search for missing diabetic male in Luton , search started in early hours of morning and concluded at 0400 hours. Inconclusive.

12/12/2013 **** CALL OUT – WEEDON ****

At 09.00 hours a request was made from Northamptonshire Police for assistance in searching for a missing 62 year old male on the A5 North of Weedon. A search was commenced at 1200 hours with six NSAR members and one CAMSAR member searching fields adjacent to the A5. Assisted by a Police search team the male was found safe and well at 13.35 hours and both teams stood down at 1400 hours by the Police.
Thanks to CAMSAR and LEICSAR for there support throughout the search.
